weekend in Chicago
This weekend was great. I hate that it is over. And now....what do I have to look forward to until, who knows? Thanksgiving? Argh. I left work at eleven a.m. and got home to an incredibly full mailbox. A TON of my ebay stuff came last week. And I had a package with two onesies in them from Talia. Got all my stuff around quick and then left for Chicago. Stopped on my way at an outlet mall. Where I encountered a really RUDE driver. But I went to the Carters outlet and got some super cutie pie stuff. Not that I NEEDED it, but it was just too adorable to pass up. Then I went to Motherhood and hit their clearance racks. I got to my cousins house at about 6 p.m. We hung out for awhile, waited for Talia to get there, waited for my cousin's husband to get home, then we went to Leona's for dinner. yum.
Saturday morning Talia and I went to the Lincoln Park area. We were going to go to the zoo first, but we ended up doing some shopping. I got the CUTEST outfit on clearance at babygap.
and a hat to match. Adorable. Then we went to a consignment shop and I got some really nice maternity stuff (babystyle, mimi and olian hot mama for SUPER cheap) It was a good weekend for maternity clothes. Then we went for lunch at Tilli's and had the most wonderful hummus. I ate quite well this weekend. We went to the zoo, but we had packages, so we spent most of our time sitting on a bench watching the strollers that went by. We saw a lot of Bugaboos. Also saw the stroller I posted before, and I didn't like it very much, so back to the drawing board. Went back to Mandy and Michael's and sat around, watched tv then went to the Firehouse for supper. Yes, we were very indulgent this weekend.
Sunday morning we went to Moody for church, then dowtown to the Rosebud for lunch. Then we milled around a bit. Talia needed to go to Border's and Victoria Secret. Then we got back on the packed train (there was a Jimmey Buffet concert) and back to their house. We laid around for a bit, then Talia and I went over to Anna and Mike's. It was SO great seeing them again. And Ben! What a cutie. He was so expressive and so active. He didn't want to sit still. It was just wonderful. I love them so much. We went to an Irish Pub for dinner, which was great. Just so nice to visit, and love on Ben. And they gave us the cutest onesies and sleeper sacks for babym. Just adorable. And two very cutie baby toys. Matt already loves one of them, that makes noise and giggles. Then we got back to their house and Anna blessed me beyond belief my lending me like ALL of her maternity clothes. It doesn't seem possible, but all of her clothes were the size I had buying and she lent them to me. Yay! I was so thrille.d And they were great. She has wonderful taste And she also lent me some great birthing books. It felt like Christmas. And it was just so wonderful to be with them. I wished we lived closer. We got back and watched some Friends episodes and went to sleep.
Left yesterday morning at about 10:30 got back to my parent's house around 2:30. A bunch of my mom's relatives are here for the week, so we went to supper with them (I ate WAAAAY too much this weekend) and I finally got back to my house at 7:30 to see Matt.
Talia, Mandy, and Michael were all in awe of my pregnant belly. I don't think any of them had spent much time with pregnant people, so they all had to touch it and ask me a bazillion questions. And Talia thought I looked huge. And I know I popped, but I don't feel quite HUGE yet. I also don't think Babym liked Chicago too much. Last week before I left s/he was so rolly and moving and shaking, and then all weekend s/he really hardly moved at all. Today again s/he is moving up a storm again. Silly baby.
Hmmm... I guess that is all. Other than another week of drudgery stretching out before me. blah.

You will hardly feel her move if you are moving about or not concentrating on her. Quite a difference when you aren't paying attention cause you are talking to people or milling about Chicago and when you're at work where you really could care less LOL.
Great score on all the maternity and all the stuff. Miss you much.
And I don't know why I kept using the 'her' reference.
