Hard Stuff

Well. Not great news today. The baby is still "healthy" as in heart beating, moving around. So that was nice. BUT the nuchal measurement--which to be normal needs to be about 2.5 mm was 5 mm. The doctor said this gives the baby a 1 in 3 chance of chromosome abnormalities. He DID say he saw nothing to suggest incompatibility with life, which is good news. But those are SUPER high odds. I am holding on to the fact that there is a higher chance (by a smidge) that nothing is wrong, than the chance something is wrong. We are going back in five weeks for an amnio. They wanted us to have a CVS done today, but I just wasn't prepared for it. I am actually doing okay. Matt is doing NOT good at all. I think because I was prepared for something to be wrong, and he was SURE nothing was wrong. I have MUCH more to say, but we are going to go take a nap. I will be back later.
